English Online Zoom Conversation Course Level 3 B2 C1 Upper int advanced

Open to all B2-C1 level students
Upper-intermediate & Advanced

Thursday 17th September 2020 till Thursday 3rd December.12 conversation classes of 1 hour. Every Thursday from 19.00 till 20.00 local Prague time (GMT+2)

The English Online Conversation course consists of 12 1 hour Online Speaking classes. All classes are 1 hour online English classes on Zoom with a small international group of ADULTS (max 12 students). In the previous courses we had students from Algeria, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Germany, Pakistan, Mexico, Turkey & Uzbekistan.

The classes are not a simple YouTube video, you will participate like in a normal class and speak with the other students in pairs, groups, the whole class & the teacher.

The classes focus mostly on learning new vocabulary (phrasal verbs) based around a central topic (food, free time,…) per class.  During the class you will get to learn new vocabulary as well as practice using it.

You will get error correction from me the teacher on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. You will practice pronunciation and have the opportunity to ask questions.

Currently we are only organizing a course for Level 3 (B2-C1 Upper-Intermediate-Advanced) students. The other levels might open in January if at least 5 students register.

The course is 120 Euro for 3 months. After registration & payment by credit or debit card you will get access to the classes starting Thursday 17th at 19.00 Local Prague time. It’s that easy!

FAQ

Level 3

Level 3 Classes are for students who are B2-C1 level on the CEFR level. This corresponds to about 3 to 4 years of English classes.

Not sure what happens in the class, or just curious? Here are some of the few things you will do in a LEVEL 3 class:

Speaking practice in group

The reason why you are learning English is to speak it. That’s why speaking is a vital part of any class. That’s why you need to sometimes practice in a larger group.

Speaking practice

It’s not always easy to speak in a big group. That’s why with Zoom, you get to practice in smaller groups in the breakout rooms. That way you can just practice in pairs, or small groups.

Providing options

It’s absolutely necessary for a teacher to listen to his/her students. That’s why it’s always a good idea to give them some options to choose from.

Practicing new vocabulary

You can’t just memorize random words! You need vocabulary around a topic and then practice. In the end practice makes perfect.

Student correction

For you to improve it is absolutely necessary to get correction from a teacher. How will you ever improve if you always make the same mistakes?

Answering questions

As you are learning a language you can’t be expected to know everything. That’s why there needs to be some room to ask questions. For example, about words you don’t know.

Speaking practice

Learner training

An essential part of any classroom is not only learning new language, but to learn techniques how to advance by yourself. That’s why learner training is crucial. For example, to have a look at how to practice/review vocabulary outside the class.

Pronunciation practice

A crucial part of speaking is pronunciation. If you don’t articulate correctly, people won’t understand you. This will make having a conversation extremely challenging. That’s why you need to practice the correct pronunciation with a teacher.

Looking at grammar

Vocabulary is not the only meaningful to look at. Grammar is a fundamental part any language. For this reason learning or reviewing new grammar will help you better express yourself more accurately.
